Over 30 years of experience handling a variety of construction-related matters for owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, materialmen, sureties, manufacturers, and condominium associations. Experience includes construction litigation and construction arbitration matters in state court and federal court in Florida and Georgia, before the American Arbitration Association and other ADR providers. Substantial litigation matters handled include construction lien and payment bond claims, construction defect claims, insurance coverage for construction defect claims, payment bond claims, and breach of contract and termination claims, including liquidated damages, delay and acceleration damages claims. Substantial construction defect matters handled include roof design and construction, mechanical equipment design and construction, building envelope performance and post-tensioned concrete building pad failure issues. Experienced in drafting and negotiating substantial commercial and residential construction contracts for owners, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, leading to familiarity with AIA form contracts and other industry standard contracts.

Mediated multi-party construction defects matters and breach of contract matters between owners, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals and sureties. Have also mediated claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Issues mediated include alleged design defects, construction defects, insurance coverage issues, building code violations, mold issues, payment bond issues, and contract performance issues.

Parties are in control of mediation process, but mediator is there to challenge the parties' assumptions and help identify practical, mutually acceptable solutions.

Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, WebEx. Competent in Microsoft Teams. Have conducted final hearing by Zoom without incident.
