Charitable interests include serving as a Godparent to JAFCO, serving the needs of children in the foster care and adoptive process, and sitting on the Advisory Board of the JAFCO Respite and Residential Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities.

Has mediated over 6,000 lawsuits and pre-suit disputes. Mediation practice largely consists of complex commercial cases, personal injury, wrongful death, premises and auto liability claims, employment discrimination, ADA and wage/hour disputes by individuals and class action. Also concentrates on admiralty, Jones Act and aviation cases, banking and collection matters, insurance coverage issues, construction delay and defect, windstorm and property damage claims, probate, securities disputes including unsuitability, churning and fraud claims, medical malpractice, healthcare and nursing home cases. Certified Circuit Civil Mediator with the State of Florida since 1993. Also serves as a panel Mediator with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, became a AAA mortgage foreclosure mediator for the Florida Circuit Court foreclosures, and is an approved mediator for the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. Has also served as an EEOC Private Mediation panel member. Member of the Florida Circuit-Civil Mediator Society and the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators (previously served as Board of Directors). Has traveled nationally and internationally to as far away as Romania, in Eastern Europe, to mediate disputes.

Wrongful death and personal injury claims involving premises liability, products liability, Jones Act, auto, maritime, and aviation. Class Action and individual employment claims involving FLSA, Title VII, ADA, ADEA and related state statutes. Admiralty cases, involving Jones Act and general maritime claims, complex commercial litigation including banking disputes, Florida business statute claims, breach of contract, civil theft and conversion, fraud securities matters including suitability churning and fraud claims and resort torts including sexual assault claims.

Having mediated over 6,000 Florida state and federal lawsuits and presuit disputes, Cindy is a huge proponent of the process. I believe it is generally in the best interest of feuding parties to resolve and compromise their claims, rather than leaving the outcome in the hands of strangers. I am a proactive mediator, not just a message taker. By regularly asking questions, I cause the participants to face all possible outcomes and the costs and time involved in not resolving the dispute.
