Began career as a general commercial litigator, handling jury and non-jury cases in federal and state courts. During this time, served as Secretary of the Florida Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee, the official committee responsible for presenting and revising the civil procedure rules for the Florida courts under the auspices of the State’s Supreme Court. Over the course of career, handled myriad commercial disputes in the courts for leading companies. With an undergraduate degree in business finance, eventually focused on disputes in state and federal courts involving financial services, ranging from bank litigation, lender liability, security interests, and commercial creditors rights to commercial and real estate loan workouts and litigation. Then assumed the leadership of the bankruptcy and creditors’ right practice of one of Florida’s leading firms, Steel Hector & Davis. Over time, practice turned toward international disputes. Has continued to represent clients in domestic matters and courts, and many of the international disputes handled have involved U.S. law, such as New York law, or have been contractual disputes, albeit they were governed by foreign law.

As an advocate leading teams of lawyers in substantial disputes, is up to speed and comfortable with the technology commonly used in arbitration, including virtual hearings.
