Considerable experience representing owners, contractors, and professionals involved in commercial as well as residential construction litigation, including Fair Housing Act and ADA claims. Experience litigating and preparing construction contracts, including AIA contracts and general conditions, plus incorporating construction codes. Served as legal consultant, as well as litigator regarding insurance coverage as it relates to construction matters.

Defended primary general contractors and subcontractors relative to masonry work, soils preparation and placement, including compaction. Certified Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Mediator specializing in construction and healthcare matters.

Scope of work mediations involving multiple parties requiring contract interpretation and, discussion. Engineer design including roadway design, as well as structural design for multiple types of structures including storage elevators, electrical power plants, etc.

Mediation has demonstrated its relevance to be advocacy process and has presented the construction industry with the ability to resolve disputes far more economically than litigation. Mediators role is to assist the parties in reaching a favorable decision, but also to provide assistance to parties in evaluating their cases, defenses and strategies.
