After serving as Line Officer, U.S. Navy, Stanley graduated from the University of Texas School of Law. Served as chair of the Houston Bar Association ADR Section and received the 2025 Houston Bar Foundation award for exemplary service to the Houston Bar Association Dispute Resolution Center. Serves as a neutral for the American Arbitration Association and FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority). Has served as an Adjunct professor for Texas A&M University.

Mediations since 1996 have covered wide range of subjects. Mediated approximately 300 cases, primarily in construction and employment matters.

Currently scheduled for two cases at request of District Court. Mediate average of 10 to 12 cases per year, mostly construction and employment disputes. Recently mediations of two residential construction cases (renovation projects) one of which concerned completion of project and the other involved DTPA (Deceptive Trae Practices Act). Both cases reached agreement in mediation.

I expect each disputant to provide a confidential brief before mediation and hope that they come to mediation with a willingness to communicate their true interests and work toward resolution.

Experienced in virtual mediations typically via Zoom though sometimes Teams. As naval officer, was certified Navel systems analyst supervisor requiring understanding of computerized systems. Proficient in risk analysis utilizing decision trees..
