Mediated over 1000 disputes since 2008, many multi-party and complex civil litigation. As a trial judge, presided over civil matters and settlement conferences from 1982-1994. Experienced in multi-party complex litigation. Served as class action claims adjudicator and special master in several class actions including 9,500 class member, $190 million dollar settlement. Significant issues in mediations included primary liability, contributory negligence, respondent superior, insurance coverage, employment discrimination, medical, dental and legal malpractice breach of standard of care, breach of fiduciary duty, and the amount of damages necessary to settle the case. Claim sizes ranged from $10,000 to millions of dollars. Primary issues in class action will be level of damage and amount of compensation. Mediated disputes between siblings over trust administration and relatives involving business disputes.

Mediation is based upon self-determination of the parties to reach a voluntary agreement. Skilled in the facilitative and evaluative forms of mediation. Committed to maintain neutrality and to conduct an impartial process.
