Experience

For more than 30 years, have been a business lawyer, representing clients in transactions and in litigation ranging from local businesses to multinational corporations. Recently, focus has been in the mining area, serving both in a lead and supporting role in transactions with values well over a billion dollars. Practice has included a broad variety of civil litigation and transactional work, including bankruptcy, limited liability company, partnership, limited partnership, corporate, banking, business law, finance, lending, secured transactions, construction, mining, copyrights, intellectual property, patents, and trademarks. Serve currently as outside general counsel to the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Nevada. Also served for more than a decade as general counsel for a major state political party. Original author of Nevada's limited liability company act and frequently consult on issues related to company mechanics and governance. Have been engaged to serve as a consulting and testifying expert in cases involving corporate governance and transactional work and am the author of the treatise Nevada Business Entities, which is now in its 7th edition.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $350.00 Daily Rate: Not provided Study Rate: $350.00/hr Cancellation: $2,500.00/Day Cancellation Period: 7 Days Comment: Fees shall be deposited 30 days prior to the scheduled hearing. Cancellation 7 days or less before mediation may result in fees for preparation. Amount of unearned deposits will be refunded. No charge for travel time to Las Vegas, Sacramento or San Francisco, but actual expenses for travel must be reimbursed.
