Mediator Style & Process Preferences
I strongly believe that most successful mediations derive from a collaborative approach between the mediator, the attorneys and their clients.
As a result, I do not believe there is a one-size-fits-all structure to every mediation. Rather I try to assess the dynamics of the parties to tailor my approach. I lean on my experiences representing both employees and employers as an attorney to try to understand the different dynamics at play on each side of the case and help them get to yes.
Finally, I believe in being realistic with the parties, but also optimistic, pushing them to keep negotiating to see if a resolution can be reached, and being mindful of the axiom that “any movement is good movement.”
Technology Proficiency
Comfortable and experienced using Zoom for remote mediations and hearings.
