Over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry in various legal and business positions. As Chief Compliance Officer for the Clear Spring Property and Casualty Group, managed a compliance team handling countrywide issues for four insurance companies. As Counsel/Corporate Executive for NCCI, which is a rating/advisory and statistical organization collecting data from and providing rates, rules and forms to insurers, managed state regulatory and legislative affairs in approximately 40 states, supervised regulatory filings and state market conduct examinations, and testified and educated on technical insurance matters (such as ratemaking, rule/policy form interpretation, analysis of premium and claims data) before regulators, legislators, and task forces. Managed issues related to data ownership, data privacy, data usage, and served as a public speaker at industry conferences on national insurance regulatory/legislative developments and trends emerging from the data (such as aging workforce, medical marijuana, gig economy, telemedicine). As an attorney in the Insurance Transactional and Regulatory Group of the Adorno & Zeder Law Firm, represented both health and property/casualty insurers on variety of matters including organization/formation of entities, corporate governance, licensing, insurance product development, regulatory filings, and examinations. Also handled real estate transactions.

Currently serving as an independent mediator for the Florida Department of Financial Services, Florida's 15th & 17th Judicial Circuits, the American Arbitration Association, and ARIAS-US. During the past five plus years, served as a mediator or arbitrator in over 3000 matters involving disputes in the following areas: -Insurance -Contracts -Consumer -Business & Commercial -Real Estate & Real Property -Product Liability Representative Matters: Mediations and/or Arbitrations Mediated or arbitrated 300+ claims between insurers and insureds at the primary level regarding property loss - issues involving existence of coverage, scope of damage and cost to repair, late reporting, assignment of benefits, etc. Mediated or arbitrated 500+ auto insurance claims seeking subrogation and/or coverage for personal injury protection benefits Arbitrated disputes between insurers and administrators over entitlement to funds set aside for the payment of claims and other expenses, profit-sharing, etc. Mediated with multiple insurers over apportionment of liability for design and construction defects in a housing project Arbitrated whether claims of treatment center were covered under medical professional liability policy Arbitrated whether a business not included as a named insured should be provided coverage under a commercial general liability policy (issues of contract formation and mutual mistake) Mediated or arbitrated 1000+ disputes between consumers and businesses regarding issues with products or services or a contract. Willing to travel nationwide. For non-local travel, actual expenses incurred will be charged. No charge for travel time. Cancellation rate is $300 per day or partial day reserved if notice of cancellation is provided less than 7 days prior to start day and time.
