In many cases determinations were made as to who was entitled to benefits based on the law and the evidence. This included sorting through voluminous medical records to decide whether the person was entitled to disability benefits or other benefits. Additionally, have decided cases involving whether medical providers billed accurately to decide whether payments would be made. Decided cases involving whether the construction was negligent or prudent to determine whether the costs could be recovered or not. In addition, have decided cases in complex litigation reviewing evidence from competing experts, such as accountants and engineers to determine the matter. Disputes involving millions of dollars with numerous plaintiffs and defendants. Decided cases dealing with utility rates, costs, prudence and various matters.

Mediated cases dealing with failure to pay in contract disputes, credit card cases, solar panels, house sales, construction disputes including roofing cases, incorrect construction of various types, failure to perform under contract, evictions, rental disputes, warranties, insurance issues, home owner association matters, trucking, property line issues, fee disputes, contract issues including car sales, and health care cases. As settlement judge facilitated over 100 cases dealing with a variety of energy disputes. For instance, new construction of facilities and costs allocation, inter seams border issues, tariffs, rates and accounting issues for utilities. Mediated oil and gas pipeline cases including costs to be paid by shippers and other accounting matters. Facilitated various matters dealing with the California energy crisis. Facilitated disputes arising out of emergency conditions on pipelines and who should pay the costs. Additionally, facilitated disputes concerning pipeline expansions. Facilitated disputes on matters of bankruptcy of market participants. Facilitated dispute on pipeline shipping of airline fuel after pandemic. Facilitated disputes concerning wholesale power contracts and rate design issues, reactive power revenue issues, mergers, transmission formula rates and cost recovery matters. Florida Supreme Court certified County and Circuit mediator. Currently conducting mediations in Seminole, Orange and Osceola County Courts, and volunteer mediator in Lake County Court. Consensual resolution of disputes is exponentially more satisfactory for the parties than a judge deciding a dispute. Consensual resolution is a business decision which benefits the parties. A mediator is a facilitator to get parties to a dispute to come to the table and try to get a consensual resolution of the matter. I will strive to get the parties to establish a beneficial dialogue and will not leave a matter until it gets resolved.

Instrumental in adopting virtual hearings at FERC, this included platforms for electronic exhibits to eliminate the use of paper exhibits at hearings. Have conducted settlement judge proceedings using online platforms. In addition, proficient in conducting arbitrations and mediations using online platforms. Have resolved numerous ESI issues in discovery disputes in hearings.
