Mediator Style & Process Preferences

In commercial cases, I will require confidential pre mediation statements one week before the scheduled mediations. I will review and contact counsel for each party to understand their client's position. I usually dispense with a joint session unless the parties want one. On the day of the mediation, I am generally ready to meet with each of the parties with the information i obtained from their counsel to get to work towards settling the matter.
