Litigation practice devoted to employment and commercial matters, representing both businesses and individuals before state and federal courts, as well as administrative matters before a variety of state and federal agencies. Significant experience with restrictive covenants and expedited litigation. Serves as counsel for public employers in collective-bargaining negotiations. Regularly serves as a court-appointed neutral to the Delaware Court of Chancery and the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Division, appointed to cases involving complex commercial disputes, non-compete and related restrictive covenants, and e-discovery matters. Known for experience in technology-related matters and serves as the Co-Chair of the Delaware Supreme Court’s Commission on Law and Technology.

Regularly serves as mediator in complex commercial, general contract, restrictive covenant, and employment matters. Serves as a court-appointed neutral to the Delaware Court of Chancery and the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Division, appointed to cases involving commercial disputes, discovery disputes, and e-discovery matters. Known for resolving cases in which the parties are personally vested, such as trust and estate disputes, and claims involving harassment and discrimination. Is regularly asked to serve as a neutral in cases with high-profile litigants.

Pre-mediation conferences with each party are key to my high-resolution rate (98%). I respect the preferences of the parties for process issues and defer to them regarding in-person vs. virtual sessions, opening statements, and the submissions of mediation statements. Above all, I seek to resolve the dispute and will assist the parties to finalize their resolution through the execution of a final settlement agreement when the parties’ discussions continue beyond the scheduled mediation date(s).

Regularly holds hearings and mediations through virtual platforms such as Zoom and Teams. Have conducted multi-day, multi-party mediations virtually. Experienced e-discovery facilitator.
