I am first and foremost an advocate for resolution. The parties have their advocates to maximize their respective positions. I serve as advocate for resolution while providing a pleasant experience for the parties. I use a combination of facilitative and evaluative techniques to achieve victory, i.e. settlement. Preparation is 90% of the battle. I will be extremely well prepared and I expect counsel to be as well. Counsel should treat the mediation as a mini-trial, their opportunity to tell their story and obtain a positive outcome. This includes providing key testimony, documents and witness statements. Trials are rare, and should be, so mediation is the most important day of the case in 99% of matters. Treating the mediation with such a high level of importance will give us the best chance for resolution.

Adept with the various online platforms (i.e. Zoom, LoopUp, GoToMeeting, etc.) and willing to conduct arbitrations virtually if the parties prefer to do so.
