An effective mediator listens carefully to the parties and to their attorneys. An effective mediator helps the parties to understand the risks of litigation and to appreciate both the strengths and weaknesses of their positions. An effective mediator also looks for creative solutions to problems and encourages the parties to do the same. To effectively mediate an issue, the mediator must understand the controlling facts and law and spend the time necessary to read materials submitted by the parties and, where appropriate, to speak with the parties prior to mediation. An effective mediator should come to the mediation sufficiently prepared to promptly get to work on resolution of the dispute.

Proficient with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and GoToMeeting. Willing to conduct virtual sessions but a strong believer in personal interactions at in person mediations as the more effective procedure.
