Mediated hundreds of family disputes including divorce, unmarried parents, parenting plans, child support, alimony, property division, pre-nuptial agreements, post-divorce modifications, and vacation homes. Mediated other disputes where relationships are central to the discussion including landlord-tenant and employee-supervisor.

Family disputes are not always legal issues and, even when they involve the court, they are often complicated by emotion. Mediation is an opportunity for families to plan the next stage of their lives. Planning is a process, and different people need different levels of support to plan their futures. So each mediation uses a combination of joint and individual meetings, homework to gather information or reflect on goals and options, and written communication. Mediation events are scheduled based on client needs with the awareness that clients are living their lives at the same time they are planning their futures. Clients need full information to make durable decisions. This can include the integration of experts like attorneys, financial professionals, and parenting resources into the mediation process. All participants are encouraged to consult independent counsel before making commitments.
