Mediating divorce, custody, prenuptial agreements, and complex financial cases. Teaching the Mediation course at Harvard Law School since 2008. Has mediated more than 1,500 cases (family, business, employment, and others) since 1992.

Valuation and division of complex financial assets (including private equity, venture capital, and hedge fund investments), incentive compensation, vested and unvested options, and carried interest; valuation and division of complex real estate holdings, both residential and commercial; valuation and division of closely held companies; complex structuring of marital and child support, where income changes from year to year, using formulas that take into account deferred compensation and equity participation; structuring estate planning in connection with divorce; and equity interests) and real estate assets.

Using a facilitative approach to mediation, seeking to help the parties to identify their interests and goals, and developing options to meet those interests; then, if needed, a more evaluative and/or directive approach to address any impasses that might develop.
