Mediator Style & Process Preferences

Prior to our first Mediation session, clients will complete an Intake, providing a brief relationship history and children, career and detailed financial background. I will also inquire into those issues the clients believe will be most challenging, as well as any unique, individual or joint concerns. If appropriate and on a case-by-case basis, I will meet with each client separately if I believe it will create a more productive joint mediation session. I provide legal information, but not legal advice and encourage my clients to have mediation-friendly lawyers available to work with them individually to ensure they are legally advised and empowered to engage productively in the mediation. I also encourage & can refer clients to Certified Divorce Financial Advisor, Appraisors and any additional support professionals in which the clients are interested. I am a facilitative mediator, where I ask questions to inspire thoughts and ideas, as well as to explore those ideas and thoughts in more depth, and to create detailed resolutions that give clients security and confidence in their post-divorce lives.
